2 tablespoon of organic shea butter
5 drops of lavender essential oil *
5 drops of orange essential oil *
A couple of drops of vitamin E oil
Fill a small saucepan with 1/3 water and bring to boil. In a container, preferably glass, combine beeswax and shea butter, and add it to the pot of water. Once the beeswax and shea butter has melted thoroughly, carefully remove them from the water. Add essential oils and vitamin E oil, and stir to mix. Transfer to a small container and atendere the mixture reaches room temperature to solidify.
The compound is expected to remain a long shelf life for about a year and it is not obligatory place in the refrigerator. Apply a layer of the compound on the cuticles and throughout the part surrounding the nails before going to sleep each night.
* You do not really need to have the essential oils (feel free not to use them if you do not have oil on hand), but add perfume and some antibacterial properties that help to keep your nails clean. If you have problems with mushrooms, you can try adding in little ‘oil of green tea to help fight the fungus. (<-I Tried this on my cousin when she was one year after the ok of her pediatrician, and it worked! The fungus is gone in a few weeks).
This cream cuticle homemade is also perfect to rub the bottoms of the feet hardened or callused to soften and moisturize. You can also apply it on rough elbows, or any other area of the skin that needs some care.
